Canutillo ISD decides not to renew 11 staff contracts

CANUTILLO, Texas (KVIA) -- A spokesperson for the Canutillo Independent School District confirmed to ABC-7 that the Board of Trustees voted to not renew 11 contracts.

The spokesperson says the 11 contracts were for staffed positions.

ABC-7 reported last week that Superintendent Pedro Galaviz is set to retire. The district has been dealing with deficit discussions in recent months.
